To Tātou Hitori | Our History

The Consortium for Medical Device Technologies (CMDT) was established between AUT, Universities of Auckland, Canterbury and Otago, Victoria University of Wellington and Callaghan Innovation in 2012. More recently, Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora joined this partnership.

Over this time, the CMDT has successfully established a MedTech innovation ecosystem for New Zealand. Today, the CMDT is a foundational partner supporting Medtech-iQ Aotearoa to take innovative research into commercial applications that address unmet health needs.
