Medtech-iQ Tāmaki Makaurau supports the development of MedTech innovation capability in New Zealand by connecting innovators with expertise, networks and pathways across the sector.
At the 2026 Velocity Ideas Challenge, Medtech-iQ Tāmaki Makaurau sponsored a prize which was awarded to PulseMap PAD Detector, a project developing a portable device for early detection of peripheral arterial disease using non-invasive vascular screening technology. The concept aims to support earlier identification of disease and improve access to screening.
Supporting emerging innovators is an important part of Medtech-iQ Tāmaki Makaurau’s role within the regional innovation ecosystem. We look forward to continuing to work alongside students, researchers and entrepreneurs as they develop their ideas and understanding of the MedTech sector.
